A terrifying manifestation of necrotic corruption, the Shadow-Maw appears as a massive, pulsing set of wolf jaws formed from thousands of interlocking black vines. It radiates a chilling aura of decay and speaks with a cacophony of whispering, agonized voices.
Player-Facing Lore & Encounters
- Encountred in the upper canopy of the Sanctuary of the Wolves.
- It acts as the primary guardian of the Uncorrupted Seed, preventing any attempts to heal or purge the tree's corruption.
- It can command Vine-Puppets and use the surrounding vines to restrain and bite intruders.
- The Maw is highly resistant to standard physical attacks but appears vulnerable to fire and radiant energy.
