Clearly a vessel that has seen better days, but the engineering seems sound enough to have brought you into the air. While the creaking of the boards and occasional chugs in the engine don’t set you mind at ease, the constant hum of the engines and the soft whistling of the wind eventually meld into a familiar atmosphere. Sitting anywhere is infuriating, since none of the chairs are level (all have a leg shorter than the rest) and the ship sways enough that stability is hard to come by.
- The Beloved Relic is the only ship in the Acquisitions Incorporated fleet that is stationed in Kaern. The franchise is known as Omari (Team-K12), and they crashed on Kaern after a portal was opened to explore the planet, but they were immediately caught in the middle of a storm. They have spent their funds restoring the ship, but it’s in rough shape. Once they make enough money, they wish to create portals to reestablish their franchise connections. They were hiring for this expedition, as a mysterious donor is paying them to travel to Kaern and retrieve the blade of Sergei. It’s Strahd - he wants to send them on a goose chase. If they were to find the relics, he’d just have them destroyed. Besides, since they’ll bring their payments back to Barovia, it’s a net gain for him.
