Priestess of Lolth and a childhood friend of Riful's. Moreso than other houses, the leaders of the Fey-Branche house have a knack for forging alliances. Vayna is the little sister of Minolin Fey-Branche, who is married to Gromphe Baenre, the archmage of Menzoberranzan.

• One of her most successful pranks happened when Mother Maven Despana was set to present her discoveries of her investigation in front of the Council of 8. Vayna had applied powerful adhesive to the seat in the waiting area. When Maven went to speak for herself, she discovered that she was in a field of silence. A “happy accident” was that when silence was cast, a wild magic surge caused Maven to grow in size, painful wedging her posterior into the seat. While the large size did help her get the seat off her rear, the adhesive still stuck the seat to her hands. After some flailing and a mess in the Council of 8, Maven finally gave her report to an unamused high council. Ultimately, Maven was reassigned to to Mantol-Derith for this incompetence.
