Wary of the events in Heldraeg and the rising ambition of the Countess des Sables, the marquis has been preparing his troops to defend. This is not garnering a response from La Bastille since the Zhentarim have been doing the same. The marquis seems to be a fair and noble man focused on properly defending Vallier’s eastern border with Heldraeg.
