Adrenaline Ability
Yin and Yang. As a reaction when you take acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage, you absorb some of the incoming energy, lessening its effect on you. You have resistance to the triggering damage type until the start of your next turn. If you resist energy in this way, you can spend 1 ki point to make a ranged attack to redirect the energy you just absorbed, as part of the same reaction. You make this attack with proficiency and the energy blast counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
If you are at zero hit dice when you do this, you are immune to the triggering damage type and can redirect the energy without spending a ki point. Additionally, the damage increases by your martial arts die. This increases by an additional martial arts die at levels 11 and 17. This ability recharges when you finish a short or long rest.
