*The memoria septim were created by a pseudodragon sage named Fisk Thrandulus during the height of the Age of Rebirth, slightly before the Dracocivil War. It was intended as a wedding gift to the King and Queen Highborne elves, the highest caste of elves. Historically speaking this makes them over 2000 years old.
The memoria septim were powerful enough that they were sought one of the main strategic weapons sought after during the Dracocivil war. Ultimately, most of the Highborne elves were decimated and the septim became scattered across dragon hoards. The memoria septim were further scattered in the following Dragon Wars between the giants and dragons.*
While efforts to recover the memoria septim followed, it wasn’t until a the founding of the Alta Templari that a holy crusade to recover dangerous artifacts began. A young knight named Azrael Valis gained great renown for his ability to find these artifacts and recover them on behalf of the church.
