Player-Facing Lore & Activities

  • They are rumored to have a hidden city called Zion.
  • Most of the drannoth disappeared in an event called the Second Sundering.
  • The drannoth were a culture advanced in magic, and their nobility adopted elvish as their primary language of communication to separate them from the commoners.
  • Haelluwen A'Zuriah was worshipped by the drannoth as one of the eternals. A lot of drannoth culture was taken from the elves, as elves were nigh immortal.
  • The drannoth societies obsession with immortality and advanced magical developments is what lead them to become such a point of interest for the Necromancers of Thay, who would seek out Drannoth knowledge to uncover the secrets of lichdom.
  • The Azurians are a subfaction known for magical craftsmanship, enchantment, and guiding lingering souls to rest, often called upon when magic goes awry due to spirits.
