Offspring of humans and elves, often walking the line between two worlds as diplomats, scholars, and wanderers.

Player-Facing Lore

Identity: Half-elves possess qualities of both parent races but are often never fully accepted by either. This sense of being "between worlds" leads many to seek lives as diplomats, negotiators, or far-traveling adventurers.
Social Context: In some regions of Kaern, such as Aquamara, they can be found in high-status roles (like butlers or merchants), but they may also display the same prejudices as other "higher" races toward outcasts like the Drannoth or Dragonborn.
History: A notable half-elf wizard was the original builder of Castle Naerytar over a century ago, eventually abandoning it when the Deep Mire swamp made the location too remote.
