	This journal comprises of most of the Captains logs from the beginning of the voyages of the Autumn Valiance to about 2 years before the death of Dave David Daveson Sr.
	The first entries detail the ship and its crew, and general notes about weather and voyages. Later, the entries begin to mention a series of romantic encounters while docked in Aquamara with a woman referred to as the Lady of Thorns. At first they seem skeptical that the occassional daliances will amount to anything, but they do note with surpirse that the woman seems to find her way to him each time he ends up ashore. The last third of the book notes a visit where Dave was surprised with the news the coming birth of the their son Dave.
